St Peter's C of E Academy

Welcome to our new entrants in September 2022

A very warm welcome to all our new children and families - we are really looking forward to getting to know you and your children properly in September, once schools are back to normal again. Your child will have two teachers, Mrs Wallis who works Monday and Tuesday and Ms Tingle who works from Wednesday to Friday. Our classroom Teaching Assistants are Mrs Payet and Mrs Hill.

We have been busy planning what September will look like for the children, as the normal summer transition hasn’t been possible. We want your children to be able to make a really smooth start to school life and so we have slightly extended the transition time to allow them to spend time in the classroom in small groups with adults who can then get to know them.

Special Dietary Requirements

Does your child have any special dietary needs?

If YES, then please read on and fill in and return the linked form.

Food allergies, intolerances and other dietary-related medical conditions are a growing concern for schools.  Children who are affected can suffer a severe or even fatal reaction if they eat or come into contact with food they’re allergic to.

 So please:

1. Fill in this form as accurately as you can, describing any:

  • Food allergies (for example to cow’s milk)
  • Food intolerances (for example to gluten)
  • Other dietary-related medical conditions (for example coeliac disease)

Please don’t use the form to describe your child’s food likes and dislikes.

2. Return the form to admin.stpeters@dbat.org.uk at least 3 weeks before the start of the academic year

Once we get this information, we’ll share it with our catering partner Sodexo Ltd, so they can make sure your child gets alternative meals that are safe for them.

If your child’s condition changes after you send us the form, you need to tell the school as soon as possible.
