Academy Council Member Bios...
Lee Ward (Chair): I joined the Academy Council as a Parent Governor in 2020. I have a professional background in sports development and leisure consultancy with a passion for the positive impacts of sport and physical activity on all ages, especially young people. Living in Chippenham with a young family I look forward to being able to help the school provide positive experiences to all it’s pupils and wider family.
Carolyn Stell (Vice-chair): I have been a member of St Peter's Academy Council since 2018 and have lived in Chippenham since 1985. As a primary school supply teacher working in local schools and with two grown up children, I am able to look at things from both sides of the classroom and am particularly interested in pupil progress and staff well-being. Away from work and the AC, and when not planning our next road trip, I can often be seen cycling around Chippenham.
Sue Flavin (Safeguarding): I joined St Peter's as a foundation governor in 2017 and it is an honour to serve and support the school. My particular interest is special education and celebrating the success and achievements of differently-abled individuals. I have spent my entire career teaching in special schools, and I currently work as a learning mentor in a local Further Education college. I am an active member of a local church, involved in different aspects of children's ministry.
